Our focus on preserving the environment has led us to implement measures to ensure our impact on the local island is minimized. We are continuously working towards becoming a more eco-friendly resort whilst still ensuring guests are delighted and satisfied.

At the Village we are committed to protecting the local environment. To this end, we recycle our water and all plastic & paper products.

We also plant hundreds of trees each year and undertake weekly cleaning projects to ensure that the beach and gardens are constantly litter free!

The Village, Coconut Island is committed to giving back to the local community. We offer out employment opportunities to all of the local villages and contribute significant amounts to local infrastructure projects.

We were a crucial player in bringing mainline power to the Island which has reduced electricity costs for the local villagers as well as stopping the need for the burning of diesel via local generators’

Our whole team takes part in a weekly ‘litter sweep’ ensuring that our beaches and gardens remain as nature intended.

Furthermore, we plant hundreds of trees a year in the hope that we are constantly giving back to this amazing island that gives us so much.

Dear Friends of The Village,

I am sure many of you are aware, the situation surrounding the virus COVID-19 has created significant challenges for the tourism industry around the world. Here in Thailand all borders have been closed, mandatory closures of swimming pools and additional curfews likely. As a result, I am very sad to say we have been left with no option but to temporarily close the doors of our hotel from 01.04.2020 until 30.09.2020. This is unprecedented for us and a decision that was not taken lightly. The team here have always had only one goal which is to serve all of our guests with the greatest of hospitality every day, all year around. Rest assured however we will be back up and running as soon as the world gets back on its feet.

If you are worried for the well-being of our staff, please don’t. All staff are still getting paid by the hotel and for all our wonderful foreign work force they are able to come and stay in the resort free of charge. Not a bad place to be spending the next few months whilst the troubles of the world improve.

As I am sure you can imagine this situation has put huge financial strains on us, so I truly hope when the time comes for you to make your next holiday then you might be able to consider coming back to help support the people that love to make your dream holidays come true.

I would personally like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best during this time. I hope wherever you are in the world that you and your loved ones remain safe and healthy.
